ONTRACK Data International, Inc., (NASDAQ: ONDI), a leading provider of data availability software and service solutions, today announced that PC Magazine has honored its software utility program, Ontrack SystemSuite 2000TM with its Editors' Choice Award. PC Magazine selected Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 over the competitive suites offered by Symantec and Network Associates.

Each year, PC Magazine compares the top PC utilities and presents its Editors' Choice Award to its top pick. This year, the magazine compared three mega-utility suites - Symantec's Norton SystemWorks 2000 Pro, Network Associates' McAfee Office 2000 Pro and Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 - before naming Ontrack the winner in its May 9 utilities issue.

Introduced in November 1999, Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 is a complete suite of fully integrated utility products designed to keep PC users' systems operating at peak performance. In addition, it is the only comprehensive, easy-to-use utility suite available today that supports Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000 operating systems. With Ontrack SystemSuite 2000, all applications are fully integrated and run from a single, easy-to-use interface – making Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 intuitive and less confusing for users.

When testing the three utility suites, PC Magazine editors considered areas such as ease of installation, level of support, quality of the interface, ease of updating the software, the quality of diagnostics, the registry tools and the level of integration. Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 received a perfect score in most categories, with an overall rating of four out of five.

PC Magazine was particularly impressed with its level of integration – that is, all of the SystemSuite tools run inside the same window and have a consistent look and feel. "Because SystemSuite was designed from the ground up as a suite (rather than cobbled together like the competition), it operates efficiently, causing practically no hit on system performance,"* said PC Magazine reviewer Ed Mendelson in the article.

Ontrack SystemSuite 2000 is currently available in retail stores for $59.95 or at the Ontrack Web site at
